COL BKB: Arizona 73, Cal Poly 62

TUCSON, Nov. 9 (UPI) -- Aaron Gordon highlighted a balanced Arizona attack Friday and the No. 6 Wildcats survived down the stretch to defeat California Poly 73-62.

Gordon, making his debut for the Wildcats, scored 13 points and also grabbed 10 rebounds. Arizona shot 57 percent from the field, but failed to take full advantage of its 36 trips to the foul line, making only 20.

Gabe York had 12 points for the Wildcats while Nick Johnson, Brandon Ashley and Kaleb Tarczewski all had 11.

California Poly was led by Kyle Odister and his 21 points. All of his scoring came from 3-point range, where he went 7-of-14.

The Mustangs have had a win over a Pac-12 team in each of the last two seasons.
