LOS ANGELES, March 30 (UPI) -- Malcolm Armstead provided 14 points and seven assists Saturday, propelling No. 9 Wichita State into the NCAA Final Four with a 70-66 win over Ohio State.

Cleanthony Early added 12 points and seven rebounds and Fred Vanvleet scored 12 points off the bench -- including a game-clinching jumper with 1 minute left -- as the Shockers (30-8) advanced to NCAA Men's Tournament semifinals for the first time since 1965.

Tekele Cotton also reached double figures with 10 points and grabbed five rebounds for Wichita State, which used a tough defense to hold the Buckeyes to 31.1 percent shooting from the floor.

Deshaun Thomas scored 23 points and collected six rebounds for second-seeded Ohio State (29-8), which saw its 11-game winning streak snapped.

Ohio State reserve LeQuinton Ross accounted for 19 points.
