AUSTIN, Texas, March 23 (UPI) -- A big game from Andre Hollins and a solid defensive effort Friday launched Minnesota to an 86-66 upset over UCLA in the NCAA tourney's second round.

Minnesota will face Florida on Sunday after the Gators easily disposed of Northwestern State 79-47.

Hollins had 28 points, seven rebounds and five assists. He made all seven of his free throw attempts. Minnesota shot 50 percent from the field and went 9-of-16 from beyond the 3-point arc.

The Golden Gophers (21-12) improved the Big Ten Conference's record in this year's tournament to 6-1. Wisconsin was the only team from that conference to lose its opening game.

UCLA (25-10) was led by Shabazz Muhammad with 20 points. The Bruins connected on just 20 field goals.
