GREENSBORO, N.C., March 17 (UPI) -- Shane Larkin pumped in 28 points Sunday and No. 10 Miami-Florida claimed its first-ever ACC Tournament title victory with an 88-77 decision over North Carolina.

Larkin also distributed seven assists while Trey McKinney Jones connected on six 3-pointers on his way to 20 points as the Hurricanes (27-6) collected the ACC post-season title after also winning its regular-season crown.

Julian Gamble donated a double-double of 11 points and 10 rebounds for Miami, which made a case for a No. 1 NCAA Tournament seed after its convincing ACC run.

The Tar Heels (24-10) got 28 points from P.J. Hairston in the loss.

They will receive an at-large bid for the national tourney.
