COL BKB: Akron 65, Ohio 46

CLEVELAND, March 16 (UPI) -- Demetrius Treadwell's 13 points and 10 rebounds Saturday sparked Akron to a a 65-46 victory over Ohio for a berth in the NCAA Tournament.

Chauncey Gilliam also scored 13 points while Nick Harney (11 points) and Zeke Marshall (10, nine rebounds) each provided some scoring punch for the top-seeded Zips (26-6).

Akron took the MAC Tournament title for the second time in three years.

The second-seeded and defending champion Bobcats (24-9) got 19 points from Reggie Keely.
