COL BKB: Texas A&M wins in SEC debut

NASHVILLE, March 14 (UPI) -- Elston Turner scored 22 points Wednesday and Texas A&M held on down the stretch to defeat Auburn 71-62 in the first round of the SEC Tournament.

The Aggies are playing in the event for the first time and are trying to match the Texas A&M women's team -- which last week surprised both Tennessee and Kentucky to win the tournament title.
