SPRINGFIELD, Mass., March 12 (UPI) -- Tre Bowman came off the bench to fire in 20 points Monday and Iona reached the NCAA Tournament with a 60-57 Metro Atlantic Conference victory over Manhattan.

Lamont Jones provided 14 points and David Laury helped out with 10 and six rebounds for the fourth-seeded Gaels (20-13), who collected their second straight MAAC Tournament crown.

They reached the finals with a 79-73 upset of top-seeded Niagara in Sunday's semis.

The sixth-seeded Jaspers (14-18) were paced by Michael Alvarado's 14 points.
