COL BKB: Davidson 74, Charleston 55

ASHEVILLE, N.C., March 11 (UPI) -- De'Mon Brooks put in 24 points Monday, boosting Davidson over the College of Charleston 74-55 for the Southern Conference Tournament title and an NCAA berth.

J.P. Kuhlman made 6-of-7 shots from the field en route to 14 points for the Wildcats (26-7), who earned a trip to the NCAA Tournament for the second straight year and extended their nation's-best winning streak to 17 games.

Jake Cohen also reached double figures with 12 points and blocked three shots in Davidson's win.

The Cougars (24-10) were led by Andrew Lawrence with 19 points.
