COL BKB: Creighton 68, Wichita State 65

ST. LOUIS, March 10 (UPI) -- Jahenns Manigat supplied 16 points Sunday, boosting Creighton to a 68-65 Missouri Valley Conference win over Wichita State and a berth in the NCAA tourney.

Manigat struck for four 3-points and converted a game-clinching lay-in with 11.5 seconds left to turn back a Wichita State rally as the Bluejays (27-7) captured the 2013 MVC Tournament title and an automatic berth to the national event.

Doug McDermott helped the Bluejays hold on with 12 second-half points en route to his total of 14 while Ethan Wragge added 15 points in the victory.

Malcolm Armstead provided 28 points, nine rebounds and four steals for the Shockers (26-8), but his 3-point attempt at the buzzer bounced off the rim.

Carl Hall supplied 13 points, six rebounds and four blocks for Wichita State, which remains in the running for an at-large bid to the NCAA tourney.
