LEXINGTON, Ky., March 9 (UPI) -- Archie Goodwin led Kentucky with 16 points Saturday in the Wildcats' 61-57 victory over ninth-ranked Florida.

The Gators (24-6, 14-4 SEC) let the game slip away down the stretch, failing to score a point in the final 7:36, while the Wildcats (21-10, 12-6) scored 11 unanswered points.

Goodwin hit 5-of-13 field goal tries for Kentucky, which shot a tepid 39.3 percent from the field to 40 percent for Florida. Julius May and Ryan Harrow both added 13 points and Alex Poythress tallied nine points and 12 rebounds.

Erik Murphy led Florida with 17 points and 11 boards. The Gators' leading scorer, Kenny Boynton scored nine points but did not take a shot in the second half until 17 seconds remained in the game.
