March 7, 2013 at 12:44 AM

CORAL GABLES, Fla., March 7 (UPI) -- Marcus Georges-Hunt tipped in his own missed shot at the buzzer Wednesday to give Georgia Tech a shocking 71-69 win over Miami.

The Hurricanes squandered a chance to clinch their first undisputed Atlantic Coast Conference title, but they will get another opportunity on Saturday in their regular-season finale against Clemson.

Miami lost for the third time in four games after letting a 10-point lead get away over the final 11 minutes.

The Hurricanes went scoreless during the closing 2:38 after Durand Scott's jumper gave Miami a 69-67 lead.

Georgia Tech tied it with 2:12 to go on Daniel Miller's layup and Miami missed its next two shots. The Hurricanes turned the ball over as well with 38 seconds remaining, giving the Yellow Jackets a last chance to win it in regulation.

Georges-Hunt, who scored only four points, drove the lane and tossed up a floating shot that hit the back of the rim. He reached up and tapped the rebound through the basket just before the clock hit zero.

Chris Bolden scored 21 points and Daniel Miller had 17 for Georgia Tech (16-13, 6-11 ACC).

Miami (23-6, 14-3) was led by Kenny Kadji with 18 points and 11 rebounds.
