GAINESVILLE, Fla., March 6 (UPI) -- Kenny Boynton led the way with 15 points Wednesday and No. 9 Florida held Vanderbilt to 14 field goals in downing the Commodores 66-40.

The Gators clinched the outright Southeastern Conference regular-season championship and will be the No. 1 seed when the league tournament begins next week.

Patric Young added 14 points for the Gators while hitting 6-of-7 from the field. Florida (24-5, 14-3 SEC) completed its home schedule with a 15-0 record.

Florida won the undisputed conference title for the third time under Coach Billy Donovan.

Vanderbilt, which had won three in a row, shot just 26 percent from the field. Kedren Johnson, with 15 points, was the only player in double figures for Vanderbilt (13-16, 7-10).
