COL BKB: Kansas 79, Texas Tech 42

LAWRENCE, Kan., March 4 (UPI) -- Jeff Withey drained 8-of-9 from the field en route to 22 points Monday and third-ranked Kansas rolled to a 79-42 rout of Texas Tech.

Withey also hauled down nine rebounds while Kevin Young contributed 14 points and seven boards as the Jayhawks (26-4, 14-3 Big 12) notched their seventh straight victory.

Ben McLemore and Travis Releford added 13 points each in the one-sided win.

The Red Raiders (10-18, 3-14) got 16 points from Jordan Tolbert.
