STILLWATER, Okla., March 2 (UPI) -- Markel Brown drained four 3-pointers en route to 18 points Saturday and No. 18 Oklahoma State dispatched Texas 78-65.

Brown also hauled down six rebounds while Le'Bryan Nash added 16 points as the Cowboys (22-6, 12-4 Big 12) racked up a third straight win.

Phil Forte (14 points) and Marcus Smart (11, six rebounds and four steals) also reached double figures in OSU's victory.

The Longhorns (13-16, 5-11) got a combined 28 points off the bench from Julien Lewis and Jayan Felix, but it wasn't enough to supply Texas with a second consecutive win.
