GAINESVILLE, Fla., March 2 (UPI) -- Erik Murphy scored 15 points and Kenny Boyton tallied 13 Saturday to lead No. 6 Florida to a 64-52 win over Alabama.

Murphy also had eight rebounds in the win and Boyton moved into second place on the career scoring lost for the Gators (23-5, 13-3 SEC).

The win got Florida back on the winning track after a loss to Tennessee Tuesday. The Gators remained atop the SEC standings.

The Gators held a slim 29-26 lead at halftime but got into gear in the second.

Alabama (19-10, 11-5) was led by Trevor Releford's 12 points. Nick Jacobs and Trevor Lacey both scored 11 for Crimson Tide, who have lost two of their last three. Alabama was hampered by a 4-for-10 mark at the free throw line.
