COL BKB: Kansas State 81, Texas 69

AUSTIN, Texas, Feb. 23 (UPI) -- Rodney McGruder scored 20 points and Angel Rodriguez added 16 Saturday, powering No. 13 Kansas State to an 81-69 victory over Texas.

McGruder also hauled down six rebounds and Rodriguez distributed six assists as the Wildcats (22-5, 11-3 Big 12) notched their third straight win following a Feb. 11 loss to Kansas.

The Wildcats broke the game open with an 8-2 run to start the second half.

The Longhorns (12-15, 4-10) got 24 points from Myck Kabongo.
