SYRACUSE, N.Y., Feb. 23 (UPI) -- Otto Porter Jr. pumped in 33 points for Georgetown Saturday and the Hoyas snapped No. 8 Syracuse's 38-game home winning streak with a 57-46 win over the Orange.

Porter made 12-of-19 shots, including 5-of-10 from 3-point range, grabbed eight rebounds and recorded five steals for the Hoyas (21-4, 11-3 Big East), who took over the Big East Conference top spot with a ninth straight triumph.

Syracuse (22-5, 10-4), meanwhile, sustained its first loss at the Carrier Dome since falling to Georgetown on Feb. 9, 2011.

C.J. Fair and James Southerland each provide 13 points and seven boards in the Orange's rare home defeat.
