COL BKB: Michigan State 73, Nebraska 64

LINCOLN, Neb., Feb. 16 (UPI) -- Keith Appling scored 16 points and Adreian Payne had 15 points and 15 rebounds Saturday in No. 8 Michigan State's 73-64 win over Nebraska.

Derrick Nix finished with 13 points and 10 rebounds for the Spartans (22-4, 11-2 Big Ten), who recorded their fifth straight win.

Gary Harris scored 14 for Michigan State.

Dylan Talley led the Cornhuskers (12-14, 3-10) with 28 points and Shavon Shields had 19 points and 12 rebounds.
