COL BKB: Connecticut 66, Syracuse 58

HARTFORD, Conn., Feb. 13 (UPI) -- Ryan Boatright scored 17 points Wednesday, propelling Connecticut to a 66-58 win over No. 7 Syracuse in the final Big East meeting between the longtime rivals.

Boatright drained 6-of-10 shots while Omar Calhoun provided 15 points and six rebounds for the Huskies (17-6, 7-4 Big East).

Syracuse, which is leaving the Big East after this season, holds a 37-33 advantage over UConn in 70 conference games, but fell for the third straight time on the road Wednesday.

Michael Carter-Williams led the Orange (20-4, 8-3) with 15 points as Syracuse extended its longest road skid since 2009.
