COL BKB: Kansas 61, West Virginia 56

MORGANTOWN, W.Va., Jan. 28 (UPI) -- Jeff Withey struck for 15 points, seven rebounds and four blocks Monday, helping top-ranked Kansas get past West Virginia 61-56.

Travis Releford also netted 15 points as the Jayhawks (19-1, 7-0 Big 12) extended their nation's-best winning streak to 18 games in their first-ever game against the Mountaineers.

Ben McLemore helped out with 13 points for Kansas.

West Virginia (9-11, 2-5) was paced by Aaric Murray with 17 points and seven rebounds.
