COL BKB: San Diego State 55, New Mexico 34

SAN DIEGO, Jan. 26 (UPI) -- JJ O'Brien provided 12 points and 10 rebounds Saturday, propelling No. 25 San Diego State to a 55-34 win over 17th-ranked New Mexico.

Jamaal Franklin chipped in with 10 points and seven boards as the Aztecs (16-4, 4-2 MWC) used a tough defense to stifle and Lobos, forcing 17 turnovers while holding them to 25 percent shooting from the field.

Kendall Williams scored 14 points for New Mexico (17-3, 4-1) in its first conference loss of the season.
