COL BKB: N.C. State 91, North Carolina 83

RALEIGH, N.C., Jan. 26 (UPI) -- Lorenzo Brown had 20 points and 11 assists Saturday and No. 18 North Carolina State broke a long losing streak to North Carolina with a 91-83 triumph.

T.J. Warren provided 19 points on 9-of-12 shooting as the Wolfpack (16-4, 5-2 ACC) snapped a 13-game skid against the Tarheels that dated to 2007.

C.J. Leslie (17 points, 10 rebounds) and Richard Howell (16, 14) also recorded double-doubles for N.C. State, which held on down the stretch after building a 28-point advantage.

North Carolina (13-6, 3-3) got 19 points from P.J. Hairston but couldn't avoid seeing its three-game winning streak snapped.

James-Michael McAdoo scored 13 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for the Tarheels.
