INDIANAPOLIS, Jan. 26 (UPI) -- Rotnei Clarke scored 24 points Saturday, propelling No. 9 Butler to an 83-71 win over Temple after missing three games due to an injury.
Clarke showed few signs of rust after recovering from a neck injury, distributing nine assists as the Bulldogs (17-3, 4-1 A-10) rebounded from Wednesday's loss to La Salle.
Khyle Marshall drained 9-of-11 shots from the field and finished with 19 points, while Andrew Smith and Roosevelt Jones each added nine in Butler's first-ever meeting with the Owls.
Khalif Wyatt led Temple (13-6, 2-3) with 22 points and six assists. Scootie Randall scored 13 points and Anthony Lee scored 12 for the Owls.
