TEMPE, Ariz., Jan. 19 (UPI) -- Mark Lyons scored 24 points and Nick Johnson added 19 Saturday in seventh-ranked Arizona's 71-54 win over intrastate rival Arizona State.
Lyons drained 8 of his 15 shots for the Wildcats (16-1, 4-1 Pac-12), who tuned up for their Thursday meeting against No. 25 UCLA with a second straight victory.
Solomon Hill finished with 13 points, six rebounds and five assists for Arizona.
Jahii Carson scored 22 and Evan Gordon scored 14 for the Sun Devils (14-4, 3-2) who have lost two straight games.
