BOISE, Idaho, Jan. 16 (UPI) -- Hugh Greenwood's 3-pointer gave New Mexico a five-point lead with 35 seconds left in overtime Wednesday and the No. 21 Lobos survived against Boise State 79-74.

After becoming the first team in the country to defeat Wyoming this season, Boise State came close to pulling off another big win.

The Lobos, however, came through down the stretch to stay unbeaten in the Mountain West Conference.

Greenwood's key shot boosted New Mexico in front 74-69. Boise State then came up with two free throws and a steal and thus had a chance to tie the game with a 3-point shot.

Anthony Drmic, however, missed a long-range attempt for the Broncos and New Mexico was able to put the game away by making 5-of-6 free throws over the final 15 seconds.

Tony Snell scored 22 points to lead the Lobos (16-2, 3-0 MWC). Hugh Greenwood added 15 points, hitting three 3-pointers.

Boise State's Derrick Marks produced 27 points. Ryan Watkins and Mikey Thompson had 12 each for the Broncos (13-3, 1-1).
