COL BKB: Creighton 79, Northern Iowa 68

OMAHA, Jan. 15 (UPI) -- Doug McDermott poured in 31 points on 12-of-22 shooting Tuesday and 10th-ranked Creighton logged an 11th straight win, 79-68 over Northern Iowa.

McDermott also grabbed four rebounds and dished off three assists for the Bluejays (17-1, 6-0 MVC).

Also reaching double figures for Creighton were Austin Chatman (12 points) and Grant Gibbs (11, seven assists).

The Panthers (9-9, 2-4) were paced by Anthony James with 25 points.

Jake Koch helped out with 19 in the loss.
