COL BKB: Butler 79, Dayton 73

DAYTON, Ohio, Jan. 12 (UPI) -- Roosevelt Jones netted 16 points, grabbed seven rebounds and handed out four assists Saturday in 17th-ranked Butler's 79-73 defeat of Dayton.

Andrew Smith chipped in with 13 points, four boards and four assists, while Khyle Marshall sank 4-of-6 shots en route to 12 points for the Bulldogs (14-2, 2-0 Atlantic 10), who reeled off their 11th straight win.

Kellen Dunham came off the bench to add eight points with a pair of 3-pointers in the victory.

Bulldogs guard Rotnei Clarke was taken off on a stretcher during the first half after being injured on a fast-break play.

Clarke was fouled by Dayton's Matt Derenbecker and crashed head-first into the padded area of the backboard stand on the play. He was taken to a hospital for X-rays to determine the extent of the injury.

Dyshawn Pierre (14 points, nine rebounds) and Vee Sanford (14 points) led the Flyers (10-6, 0-2).
