COL BKB: San Diego St. 65, Fresno St. 62

FRESNO, Calif., Jan. 10 (UPI) -- Jamaal Franklin's 20 points and 18 rebounds Wednesday led 16th-ranked San Diego State to a 65-62 win over Fresno State.

James Rahon and Deshawn Stephens had 16 and 13 points, respectively, for the Aztecs (13-2) in their Mountain West Conference opener.

Kevin Foster put up 18 points and seven boards for the Bulldogs (6-8), who made their MWC debut after leaving the Western Athletic Conference. Kevin Olekaibe contributed 15 points.
