COL BKB: UNLV 84, Bakersfield 63

LAS VEGAS, Jan. 6 (UPI) -- Anthony Bennett went 10-of-13 from the field on his way to 28 points Saturday, lifting No. 24 Nevada-Las Vegas over Cal State Bakersfield 84-63.

Bryce Dejean-Jones contributed 12 points, five assists and four boards for the Rebels (13-2), who shot 50.9 percent from the floor and made seven 3-pointers.

Quintrell Thomas also reached double figures with 10 points and hauled down six rebounds for UNLV. Bennett also grabbed 10 rebounds.

Stephon Carter provided 16 points, six boards, four helpers and four steals for the Roadrunners (6-12). Adam Young, Javonte Maynor and Brandon Barnes each supplied 12 points for Bakersfield.
