OMAHA, Jan. 5 (UPI) -- Doug McDermott poured in 25 points Saturday and No. 11 Creighton got past Indiana State 79-66 for its eighth straight victory.
McDermott grabbed nine rebounds and Greg Echenique added 16 points and nine boards for the Bluejays (14-1, 3-0 MVC).
Austin Chatman helped out with 13 points and nine assists for Creighton.
The Sycamores (9-5, 2-1) got 13 points apiece from Manny Arop and Jake Odum, and Justin Gant scored 12.
