COL BKB: Missouri 82, Illinois 73

ST. LOUIS, Dec. 22 (UPI) -- Laurence Bowers scored 23 points in an all-around performance Saturday that carried No. 12 Missouri over 10th-ranked Illinois 82-73.

Bowers also hauled down 10 rebounds and dished off four assists, while Jabari Brown added 18 points for the Tigers (10-1), who claimed their fourth straight win in the annual "Braggin' Rights" series between the teams.

Alex Oriakhi supplied 13 points with 14 boards and Phil Pressey provided 12 points, 11 assists and seven rebounds for Missouri.

Illinois (12-1) tasted defeat for the first time this season despite 23 points from Brandon Paul. Tyler Griffey contributed 14 points.
