COL BKB: Minnesota 75, Lafayette 50

MINNEAPOLIS, Dec. 22 (UPI) -- Joe Coleman went 6-for-8 from the field en route to 12 points for No. 16 Minnesota Saturday and the Golden Gophers rolled to a 75-50 win over Lafayette.

Oto Osenieks (10 points), Rodney Williams, Maurice Walker and Maverick Ahanmisi (eight each) provided a balanced scoring attack for the Gophers (12-1), who won their eighth straight.

Julian Welch and Andre Ingram came off the bench to grab six rebounds each in the non-conference victory.

The Leopards (5-9) were led by Dan Trist with 14 points.
