EAST LANSING, Mich., Dec. 22 (UPI) -- Derrick Nix had 25 points and 11 rebounds Saturday in No. 19 Michigan State's 67-56 victory over Texas.

Keith Appling scored 14 points and Adreian Payne supplied 13 and six rebounds for the Spartans (11-2), who have won six straight.

Julien Lewis led the Longhorns (7-5) with 16 points and Sheldon McClellan scored 13 for Texas.
