COL BKB: Michigan 81, West Virginia 66

NEW YORK, Dec. 15 (UPI) -- Trey Burke and Tim Hardaway Jr. combined for 52 points Saturday and No. 3 Michigan remained undefeated with an 81-66 win over West Virginia in New York.

Burke pumped in 27 points and distributed seven assists, while Hardaway drained four 3-pointers for the Wolverines (11-0) in the contest played at Barclays Center.

Michigan continued its best start since 1988-89 as Coach John Beilein emerged with a victory in his first game against the Mountaineers, whom he led from 2003-07.

West Virginia (4-5) was paced by Terry Henderson's 23 points.
