LAS VEGAS, Dec. 14 (UPI) -- A 27-point effort by Anthony Bennett combined with a quick start Thursday sent No. 17 Nevada-Las Vegas to a 91-44 rout of La Verne College.

The Runnin' Rebels jumped to a 15-2 lead, settled for a 17-point halftime advantage and then went on a 13-point run early in the second half to break things open.

Katin Reinhardt added 14 points for UNLV and Savon Goodman had 13.

The Rebels (8-1) have won six in a row since suffering their lone loss of the season, an 83-79 setback against Oregon on Nov. 23.

The Leopards (1-5), who compete in Division 3 of the NCAA, were led by Vince Bauer with 16 points.
