OMAHA, Dec. 9 (UPI) -- Doug McDermott provided 30 points, six rebounds and four assists Sunday in 13th-ranked Creighton's 77-61 decision over Akron.

Gregory Echenique added 10 points and seven boards for the Bluejays (9-1).

The winning result was Creighton's third straight.

The Zips (4-3) were led by Nick Harney (14 points) and Zeke Marshall (12).
