LEXINGTON, Ky., Dec. 5 (UPI) -- Archie Goodwin struck for 18 points and Alex Poythress contributed 16 Tuesday in No. 19 Kentucky's 88-56 victory over Samford.

Nerlens Noel added 13 points with five blocked shots and Willie Cauley-Stein chipped in with 12 points off the bench for the Wildcats (5-3), who rebounded from a home loss to Baylor Saturday -- their first under Coach John Calipari.

Julius Mays also reached double figures with 10 points for Kentucky, which dominated the game from the opening tip.

Samford (2-8) was led by Raijon Kelly with 14 second-half points.
