LAWRENCE, Kan., Nov. 26 (UPI) -- Jeff Withey's triple-double of 16 points, 12 rebounds and 12 blocked shots Monday propelled 10th-ranked Kansas over San Jose State 70-57.
Withey's triple-double was only the second Kansas history and his blocked-shot total established a new school record for the Jayhawks (5-1), who continued their momentum after winning the CBE Hall of Fame Classic.
Ben McLemore, Travis Releford and Elijah Johnson each added 13 points for the victors.
San Jose State (2-3) was led by James Kinney with 30 points.
