Dad who drowned sons gets death penalty
TUCSON, Nov. 19 (UPI) -- Brandon Ashley connected for 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds Monday in 10th-ranked Arizona's 94-72 spanking of Long Beach State.
Ashley went 6-for-6 from the field and drained 8-of-9 foul shots for the Wildcats (3-0), who followed up on a victory over Texas-El Paso in their previous game.
Solomon Hill drained all 11 of his free throws en route to 15 points and Kevin Parrom also netted 15 for Arizona thanks to five 3-pointers.
Nick Johnson chipped in with 12 points and five assists for the victors.
The 49ers (1-3) were led by James Ennis with 17 points and seven rebounds.
Peter Pappageorge added 16 in Long Beach State's loss.
