CHARLESTON, S.C., Nov. 15 (UPI) -- Pierre Jackson scored 31 points Thursday in pacing No. 17 Baylor to an 84-74 win over Boston College in a Charleston Classic quarterfinal.

Baylor (3-0) moves into Friday's tournament semifinals against Colorado, which beat Dayton 67-57 earlier Thursday.

Boston College (1-1) was up 52-47 4 minutes into the second half when Baylor ran off 10 straight points. Isaiah Austin made a layup and a dunk -- off a feed from Jackson -- to start the run and Jackson connected on back-to-back 3-points shot that put the Bears up 57-52.

Boston College did lead briefly at 58-57 but Austin hit another jump shot and Gary Franklin converted a pass from Jackson for a 3-pointer and Baylor never trailed again. An Austin 3-pointer, off another Jackson pass, put the Bears ahead 75-66 with 3:33 to go.

Jackson's 31 points came on 10-of-16 shooting and he also had six assists. Austin finished with 16 points and nine rebounds for the Bears.

Boston College got 25 points from Ryan Anderson, but only six of those came in the second half.
