COL BKB: Notre Dame 84, Monmouth 57

SOUTH BEND, Ind., Nov. 12 (UPI) -- Garrick Sherman dominated on both ends of the court with 22 points and nine rebounds Monday, propelling 21st-ranked Notre Dame to a 84-57 win over Monmouth.

Jack Cooley also corralled nine boards to go with 16 points as the Fighting Irish (2-0) followed up a season-opening victory over Evansville with another triumph.

Pat Connaughton added 13 points and five assists for Notre Dame.

The Hawks (1-1) had only one player reaching double figures in scoring -- Dion Nesmith with13 points.
