COL BKB: Baylor 78, Jackson State 47

WACO, Texas, Nov. 11 (UPI) -- Pierre Jackson powered 18th-ranked Baylor with 25 points and seven assists Sunday, boosting the Bears to a 78-47 bruising of Jackson State.

Cory Jefferson's 14 points complemented Rico Gathers' 13 and 10 rebounds for Baylor (2-0).

The Bears this season are looking to improve on last year's trip to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament, where they were eliminated by eventual national champion Kentucky.

The Tigers (0-1) were led by Jeff Stubbs with 16 points.
