OMAHA, July 2 (UPI) -- University of Central Florida guard Marcus Jordan, son of NBA Hall of Famer Michael Jordan, was arrested Sunday in Omaha for disorderly conduct, police said.

Omaha police spokesman Jacob Bettin said Jordan, 21, was taken into custody early Sunday after being charged in connection with a disturbance at a hotel in the city, the Omaha World-Herald reported.

Bettin said a uniformed, off-duty police officer, working security at an Embassy Suites hotel, approached Jordan as he was allegedly arguing with two females in the facility's driveway while appearing to be very intoxicated.

The report said the 6-foot-3, 205-pound senior guard became uncooperative and that several more officers were needed to restrain and handcuff him.

Jordan was booked at the Douglas County Department of Corrections on charges of resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and obstructing.

The newspaper said he had been released by Sunday afternoon.

Jordan averaged 13.7 points and 2.7 rebounds per game last season as a junior for UCF.
