COL BKB: Kansas 64, Ohio State 62

NEW ORLEANS, March 31 (UPI) -- Thomas Robinson sparked a Kansas rally with 19 points Saturday and the Jayhawks gained the NCAA Tournament title game with a 64-62 victory over Ohio State.

Second-seeded Kansas (32-6) trailed by 13 points in the first half, but outscored the Buckeyes 39-28 down the stretch to reach the national championship game for the first time since 2008.

Robinson also grabbed eight rebounds. Travis Releford added 15 points and six boards for the Jayhawks, who held on for the win when the Buckeyes' Aaron Craft was whistled for a lane violation after intentionally missing a free throw with 2.6 seconds left.

Craft grabbed the rebound and scored after the foul shot, but the lane violation call appeared to stun OSU, which failed to foul Kansas on the ensuing inbounds pass while arguing with the officials.

Elijah Johnson added 13 points and Tyshawn Taylor put in 10 to go with nine assists for Kansas, which will face Kentucky in the title game following the Wildcats' victory over Louisville in Saturday's first national semifinal.

Second-seeded Ohio State (31-8) got only 13 points on 5-of-19 shooting from star forward Jared Sullinger.
