LOUISVILLE, Ky., March 17 (UPI) -- Jae Crowder scored 17 points and grabbed 13 rebounds Saturday, powering Marquette to a 62-53 win over Murray State in NCAA Tournament West Region play.
Crowder's second double-double in two contests helped put third-seeded Marquette (27-7) into the Sweet 16 for the second time in as many years.
Darius Johnson-Odom added 17 points, while Todd Mayo and Junior Cadougan put in eight apiece for the Golden Eagles, who will next play the victor of Sunday's Florida-Norfolk State game.
Murray State (31-2), which suffered only its second loss of the season, was led by Isaiah Canaan's 16 points and six rebounds.
