COL BKB: Kansas State 78, Missouri 68

COLUMBIA, Mo., Feb. 21 (UPI) -- Rodney McGruder's 24 points Tuesday helped Kansas State hand the third-ranked Missouri Tigers their first home loss of the season, 78-68.

The Wildcats (19-8, 8-7 Big 12) also used 13 points from Thomas Gipson and Jamar Samuels' 11 rebounds to post just their third win in 27 visits to Missouri.

They became the first visitors to best the Tigers at home in 16 games this season.

Kansas State also humbled Mizzou in January, halting the Tigers' 14-game unbeaten streak to start the season.

Michael Dixon and Marcus Denmon combined for 40 points for Missouri (25-3, 12-3), which lost for the first time in eight contests overall.
