FORT WORTH, Texas, Feb. 14 (UPI) -- Hank Thorns hit eight long shots en route to 32 points Tuesday, handing Texas Christian a 102-97 overtime upset of 11th-ranked Nevada-Las Vegas.
Thorns connected on 8-of-12 three-point tries, including back-to-back bombs late in regulation that capped a rally from a 15-point deficit for TCU (15-10, 5-4 Mountain West).
Another Thorns trey in overtime gave the Horned Frogs some breathing room with a 96-91 lead.
Mike Moser led UNLV (22-5, 6-3) with 22 points.
