COL BKB: Wichita State 89, Creighton 68

OMAHA, Feb. 11 (UPI) -- Joe Ragland poured in 24 points and Ben Smith added 22 Saturday, powering Wichita State to an 89-68 whipping of 15th-ranked Creighton.

Demetric Williams and Toure' Murry each scored 11 points as the Shockers (22-4, 13-2 MVC) ran off their fourth straight win. Ragland dished off six assists, as well.

Wichita State stayed hot with its 12th victory in 13 games overall.

Gregory Echenique led the skidding Bluejays (21-5, 11-4) with 16 points.

Creighton dropped its third straight as leading scorer Doug McDermott was held to 13 points on 5-of-14 shooting.
