STARKVILLE, Miss., Feb. 9 (UPI) -- Dee Bost hit three 3-pointers, dished out 13 assists and scored 15 points Thursday in leading No. 18 Mississippi State to a 70-60 decision over Mississippi.
The Bulldogs won for the fourth time in five games and moved into a tie for third place with Vanderbilt in the Southeastern Conference behind Kentucky and Florida.
Mississippi State scored the game's first eight points, opened a 40-27 halftime lead and built an 18-point cushion early in the second period.
Arnett Moultrie scored 18 points for the Bulldogs (19-5, 6-3 SEC), Renardo Sidney added 14 and Rodney Hood contributed 10.
Reginald Buckner had 15 points to pace Mississippi (14-0, 4-5).
