LOUISVILLE, Ky., Feb. 6 (UPI) -- Chris Smith and Gorgui Dieng combined for 31 points Monday and co-No. 22 Louisville used a hot-shooting offense to stifle Connecticut 80-59.

Smith drained four from long range en route to 16 points and Dieng added 15 for the Cardinals (16-7, 6-5 Big East), who won their fifth straight.

Louisville connected on 11 three-pointers overall in the win.
